One mind, two hands

Hurry Pottery is a poetic fusion of memory, heritage, and the organic beauty of the natural world. The name itself is a playful pun, reflecting the joy and fun intrinsic to its creations. Behind the brand is Ukrainian-born, Barcelona-based ceramic artist Diana Beklemesheva, who is the heart and hands behind every creation.

Diana’s childhood in Ukraine, spent at her grandparents’ countryside home, is at the heart of her inspiration. There, she discovered the textures of life: the cool, damp soil beneath her fingers, the soft rustle of leaves, and the sun drawing bright patterns on the water. These early experiences instilled in her a fascination with the tactile world, setting the foundation for her artistic vision. “Nature was always my first teacher,” she reflects, “showing me forms, rhythms, and a sense of harmony that continues to guide my hands today.”

Now based in Barcelona, Diana continues to draw inspiration from her Ukrainian roots while embracing the Mediterranean’s serene palette and light. Her studio is a sanctuary of thoughtful creation, where every piece is born of intention, shaped by her hands, and imbued with a spirit of resilience and beauty.

Hurry Pottery is not just about creating functional art; it’s a meditative process for both artist and audience.
