Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging. More than creating beautiful compositions, it's a slow, mindful practice that invites you to pause, appreciate the beauty of nature, and enjoy the present moment. Its name roughly translates to "making flowers come alive."

This ceramic Ikebana vase was made with Ikebana in mind and works with kenzan, chicken wire, or floral foam, leaving plenty of room to experiment with your own arrangements. Whether you place a single stem or a fuller composition, this Ikebana vase adapts to your style rather than defining it.

Just as in Ikebana, this collection puts nature first. Each edition is inspired by a different element of the natural world, translated into ceramic.

Laguna combines a rough, sanded stoneware exterior with a transparent emerald crackle glaze inside, like still water hidden beneath weathered rock.

Black Laguna shares the same emerald interior, while its textured coal-black exterior recalls volcanic shores surrounding a hidden lagoon.

White Pearl features a rough, sanded stoneware exterior and a white iridescent interior. Unlike the other editions, it is fired three times instead of two. The final firing applies a mother-of-pearl lustre, creating the gentle pearlescent glow that gives this edition its name.

Volcano pairs a dark volcanic exterior with a vivid lava-red interior. The flowing glaze creates the impression of molten lava beneath cooled rock.

Ice Fjord pairs a dark, rock-like exterior with a semi-matte crystalized blue interior. The crystalline glaze recalls frozen water nestled between Arctic cliffs.

Every vase is hand-built. The opening is shaped by breaking the rim, creating an organic edge that can never be repeated exactly. Depending on the edition, each piece is fired two or three times, glazed where needed, then carefully sanded and finished. The subtle differences in texture, shape, and glaze are part of the process, making every vase one of a kind.
