Flame has always been more than light and heat - it’s one of humanity’s oldest companions. Learning to master it shaped not only survival but imagination. Around fire, people gathered, told stories, and shared silences; it became a symbol of belonging, of warmth, of what it means to be human.

This vase captures both sides of fire - its untamed energy and the quiet intimacy it offers.

Its surface suggests dancing flames, frozen mid-motion, as if you could almost hear them crackling. A fleeting moment, solidified. Like the rest of the collection, it begins with nature - here, a force as ancient as we are - and holds it still, turning the ephemeral into something to touch, contemplate, and keep.

Each piece is made entirely by hand using the coil technique with stoneware clay. After shaping the base form, it rests for a day to firm up, then the ribs are added - delicate, flame-like spurts, one by one. It’s a slow, meditative process, and every hour becomes visible in the final piece. The vase is fired twice, with a clear glossy glaze applied to the interior, making it watertight and ready to hold fresh-cut flowers.

This design is repeatable, yet each piece remains one of a kind - carrying subtle variations that are inseparable from the handmade process.
